Kayla West, MSW

Kayla West is the Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Liaison at ABHS in Jefferson County, TN. Kayla received a Master of Social Work with a clinical focus and concentration on Children and Families. She has experience working as a clinical therapist providing trauma focused therapy, advocacy, and crisis intervention to a variety of age groups, including early childhood to adolescence, in a residential and school based setting. In this position, she will be working closely with children and families enrolled in licensed child care centers and Head Start centers within Jefferson County to provide child - specific infant and early child mental health consultation. Kayla is extremely passionate about the idea that children do well if they can. Therefore, an important part of the work Kayla does is creating a supportive and collaborative partnership with parents, educators, and caregivers that fosters positive relationships and the healthy development of a child’s social and emotional health.
